Did you know that to have a successful application of whiteboard paint, you have to do some prep work before anything else? This includes:
1. smoothing your wall surface with sandpaper to make sure that your finished whiteboard surface can be effectively written on and also removed
2. thoroughly cleaning the sanded surface area to guard against problems such as taking off of the base paint
3. masking off the parts of the wall where you don't plan to apply the base paint
4. applying two layers of base paint to guarantee a fully opaque surface for your whiteboard paint application
5. allowing the base paint dry for at least 24 hours
