Steps Before Applying Whiteboard Paint

Smooth It
Make sure your wall's surface is nice and smooth. If the smoothness is questionable, give it a quick once over with some 220 grit sandpaper.

Clean It
Your wall must be extra clean. Use some Acetone to wipe off any leftover dust from sanding. Remember dust is the enemy to proper to adhesion.

Prep It
Tape off the parts of the wall that aren't to be painted. Lay out your drop cloth and be sure to have all of your supplies in one place for easy access.

Base It
Whiteboard paint must go over a white water-based satin or eggshell enamel. Clear dry erase paint may go over your colored or white enamel surface.

Cure It
Your wall or surface must be evenly painted and left to dry and cure for at least 24 hours cured to avoid possible bubbling of your Whiteboard paint surface.
